On our way to the terminal, after we parked the car. Linda happy to be on her way to Vegas
Here we are, early in the morning and finally in Stockholm! We are taking the train from Arlanda (underneath the airport) to he city. Everything is so clean here. There was not one paper or cigarrette butt on the station-floor. The tickets were something like 240 Swedish Kronen for both of us. We got a deal because we were traveling on the weekend.
Here is Linda waiting for the train to take us to Stockholm. It seems like we always arrive in Europe at around this time.
The large palapa at the entrance of the hotel was the only place with a wireless connection, so one could always see people glued to their computers. We used the time to upload to Flickr
Tonight we chose an Argentinean restaurant. Since this was the 1st of January there weren’t many places that were open. This one was very crowded. Either because it is very popular, or because there weren’t many places to choose from. IWe had a salad and pizza. We also had a bottle of Malbec, called Altos Las Hormigas
Linda made a good friend with this cat in Playa -Chispita (little spark). Linda trained Chispita to jump up n the hammock. By the end of the trip they were total pals
Later in the afternoon the clouds seemed to dissipate and the weather seemed to get better. We took advantage of this break and ordered Coronas. Here Linda holds on to hers
Me and Linda celebrating New Year 2008 at Ula Gula in Playa del Carmen.
A DJ station was set up at 10:30PM, then the DJ arrived and he began to spin, then everyone started to dance. We lit cigars and danced on the street with the crowd.
After moving up and down Quinta (5th Avenue), we decided on Ula Gula. We knew that this small open bar on a corner, would be happening later on. Here is Linda after we had ordered the first batch of Margartitas
There was this cat that used to hang by the cabanas where we stayed. Although it was wild, it was also very friendly and obviously used to getting food from tourists. Linda named her Chispita (little spark), and became pretty friendly with her. Here Chispita is getting some ham.
Linda ready to go out to the beach. This is our balcony. We are staying on the second floor.
Here we are, standing by those very large leaves, in Playa at the hotel. We have just come back from breakfast and are heading to our room and then the beach.
